Scope and purpose
This AML and KYC Policy governs customer due diligence, identity verification, ongoing monitoring, and data handling for all users of Dada8. It sets out the information we collect, the verification steps we take, the conditions under which services may be restricted, and the rights customers have in relation to their data.
Regulatory framework and licensing
Dada8 operates under a Curaçao gaming license issued by the Curacao Gaming Control Board. We comply with applicable anti‑money laundering laws, counter‑terrorism financing requirements, and customer due diligence obligations. We may request additional information and apply protective measures consistent with applicable law and the customer risk profile.
Risk-based approach and due diligence levels
We employ a risk‑based approach to customer due diligence. Depending on the assessed risk, we apply one of three levels of verification: Simplified Due Diligence (SDD), Standard Due Diligence (CDD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).
- SDD: Applied to transactions or customers assessed as extremely low risk. Verification is limited to identity confirmation and basic screening, with ongoing monitoring retained at a lighter level than higher tiers.
- CDD: Standard level used in the majority of cases. Includes identity verification, verification of residence, and ongoing monitoring of activity and transactions.
- EDD: Applied to high‑risk customers, large or complex transactions, or scenarios involving suspicious activity. Includes intensified verification, source of funds assessment, and heightened monitoring. In addition, when aggregate lifetime deposits reach €5,000 or more, or a withdrawal is initiated, the customer must complete the full KYC process.
Know Your Customer requirements
To establish identity and enable service access, Dada8 requires verification of identity, residence, and payment details consistent with the customer’s risk profile and regulatory obligations.
KYC documentation and data requested
- Identity documentation: A government‑issued photo ID (passport, national ID, or driver’s license). The document must be valid and include readable copies of the relevant sides as applicable. If a photo ID is unavailable, a birth certificate may be accepted with a selfie holding the certificate and a clear indication of the match to the applicant.
- Proof of address: A utility bill or bank statement showing the applicant’s name and current residential address, issued within the last three months and clearly legible.
- Proof of payment: Documentation corresponding to the deposit method used. Requirements vary by method and may be updated as payment interfaces evolve:
- Card payments: Copies of the front and back of the card used, displaying the cardholder’s signature and the first six and last four digits. The CVV and middle digits should be obscured for security.
- E‑wallets: A screenshot of the wallet account showing the registered email/address and the account identifier.
- Bank transfers: A bank statement showing the bank name, account number, IBAN, and BIC; all four corners visible. A deposit confirmation may also be requested.
- Cryptocurrencies: A transaction receipt and a wallet profile screenshot showing the email, user ID, and wallet address.
- Prepaid vouchers: Prepaid vouchers may not constitute verifiable payment proof for KYC purposes; alternative verifiable documentation may be required.
KYC submission and processing
Documents are submitted via the Documents tab within the My Account area. We will review received documents within 3 business days. If additional information is required, we will request clarification through the registered support channel. Where a withdrawal is requested, the customer must provide all required verification documents within 48 hours; failure to comply may result in temporary restrictions on withdrawals or account access until verification is complete.
Account status, restrictions and ongoing monitoring
We reserve the right to restrict access to services, payments, or withdrawals, suspend activity, or close accounts where identity cannot be established, documents are invalid or unverifiable, or activity is deemed suspicious or non‑compliant with applicable laws. We perform ongoing monitoring of transactions and payments to detect, report, and mitigate potential financial crime, and to ensure continued compliance with regulatory obligations.
Ongoing monitoring and enhanced due diligence
Transactions are monitored on an ongoing basis. High‑risk customers or unusual patterns may trigger enhanced due diligence, including further verification steps, source of funds analysis, and more frequent review of activity.
Territorial restrictions and sanctions screening
We screen customers against applicable sanctions and risk lists. Access may be restricted or denied for customers located in jurisdictions where services are prohibited or where additional controls are required under law or policy. Residency status and risk assessment are updated as part of ongoing due diligence.
Age restrictions and responsible gaming
The minimum age for participation is 18 years. We strictly prohibit underage gambling and provide self‑exclusion and responsible gaming tools in accordance with applicable law and platform features.
Privacy, data handling and retention
We collect, process, store, and protect personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws. Personal data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill AML and regulatory obligations, with retention periods defined by law and policy. Data subjects may exercise rights to access, rectify, or delete personal data via the in‑account interface or through the designated data protection contact; responses are provided within applicable statutory timeframes.
Support, questions and escalation
Users may contact our compliance and support teams with questions about KYC or AML requirements via the channels available in the My Account area or through the designated compliance contact. We acknowledge inquiries and respond within a defined timeframe, not to exceed 30 days unless law requires otherwise.
Policy updates and notification
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, licensing requirements, or our risk posture. The latest version will be published in the user area and take effect on posting or as otherwise stated. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
